Our Mission:

"The Georgia Legacy Foundation is established to recognize,

protect, preserve, and promote Georgia's Roots Music artists

and to do so with a historical, ethnic and regional perspective."

The Georgia Legacy Foundation, Inc. mission is to recognize, protect, preserve, and promote Georgia’s Roots Musical Artists, and to do so with a historical, ethnic and regional perspective.

To accomplish this mission, Georgia Legacy Foundation will utilize the highest quality professional entertainment artists with superior standards and policies:

We intend to create on-going situations of support for artists while offering enlightenment and entertainment to the public.

We will strive to create uniquely designed opportunities for industry representatives to witness and embrace available talent.

Our goal is to acknowledge and celebrate the authentic indigenous artists of our state.

By these stated goals we aspire to promote Atlanta and the state of Georgia as important contributing cultural centers of the nation.

Our Vision:

Our vision is to create an environment of greater appreciation for and acknowledgement of

quality artists who continue to create exceptional music of historical content,

yet have not achieved commercial success, industry acceptance or adequate public exposure.

The Georgia Legacy Foundation represents a unique approach to charitable organizations and the entertainment industry.  Our goal is to create and maintain viable methods of showcasing artists -- celebrating both older, established artists and newer, present day and rising stars.

After thirty years of performing and being taught by the great blues artists of our time, President and Executive Director Sammy Blue recognized a serious need for new avenues to assist talented artists with their careers and quality of life. Since most artists do not have easy access to agents, managers and record companies, a great many of them receive few opportunities for maximum exposure.

Our goal is to create and maintain viable methods of showcasing artists.  We intend to create educational programs for the public, as well as business and medical services for artists.   For the general public, providing open forums and access to an artist in celebration of their  background, their challenges, upbringing and motivations will enrich and entertain our youth in a positive environment.

For the artists, our work will include documentation of the artist's work through the use of video -- filming and recording their live performances. Assisting the artist with developing promotional materials and providing an avenue of advertising and promotion to ensure their continued exposure and involvement with the community.  These recordings and services will be donated to the artist free of charge. The artist will own all rights to their work and will be able to use these materials for promotion and sales.  We hope to create a situation where the artists of the future will have clearer and more focused paths to successful careers and lives.
